Expert support and real tools for the hardest moments of parenting a teen.
With Suzanne Rea, LICSW
In It With You will help you:
- Feel less alone
- Understand what's actually happening underneath the behavior
- Learn the difference between "concerning" and "normal" teen behavior, so you know when to worry and when to breathe
- Build a plan before the hard moment hits, instead of scrambling in the middle of it
- Know what to say in the moments that used to leave you frozen
- Have peace in your home and real connection with your teen
What's included in In It With You:
- A new theme every month into bite-sized teaching videos you can watch on your own time. Example topics include: shutdowns and silence; the lies that break trust; what's underneath the yelling; staying calm when everything in you wants to react; helping your teen calm down instead of escalating; and boundaries that actually hold...all from a mental health and relationship lens.
- Scripts and tools for that month's theme — exactly what to say and do, worksheets, and tools ready to use that same week
- Live monthly call with Suzanne for you to bring your hardest moment, get help applying what you're learning
- The Roundtable: a private peer community, honest and judgment-free, where you can talk through what's happening and lean on other parents who get it
- The Toolbox so you have every teaching video, script, and tool from every past month, always available
- Book recommendations of what Suzanne recommends to parents of teens all the time

So nice to meet you!
I'm Suzanne Rea, a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW), therapist, and parent coach who works exclusively with parents of teens navigating emotional and behavioral challenges. I currently run a private practice working directly with teens and the parents raising them.
My approach is grounded in attachment research and in understanding challenging behavior instead of just managing it, because whether it's the everyday stuff (slammed doors, one-word answers, constant pushback) or something more serious, the same principles apply, even as the approach adapts to what your family actually needs.
I've spent the past 15 years working with high-risk teens and families across a range of settings, including kids in the juvenile justice and foster care systems, many of whom had every reason not to trust an adult again. What I learned from them about connection and trust shows up just as much on the ordinary hard days as it does on the hardest ones.
My guiding belief: parents are doing the best they can with the tools and resources they have.
When I'm not working, I'm usually spending time with my family and our dog.
